Jeff Evans has received the endorsement of many of Virginia's leaders as well as the leadership here in the 20th District.
Martinsville, VA-
Back in October when I announced my intention to seek the Republican nomination for the State Senate in the 20th District I expressed my intention to use my experiences in business, the State Police, and as a father and community leader to positively impact our district and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
Virginia Constitution Article I, Section 13
The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental Constitutional right. The Virginia Bill of Rights also defends the right of individuals to keep and bear arms.
George Washington once said, "The right to keep and bear arms stands only second in importance to the Constitution itself."
The federal courts have historically upheld the Second Amendment of our Constitution as an individual right to keep and bear arms. Our multi-layer gun control laws only restrict law-abiding citizens from protecting their lives and the lives of their loved ones, They do nothing to stop criminals who are intent on breaking these and other laws. In Richmond I will protect your right to keep and bear arms.
I also fully support concealed carry in Virginia. I recall an incident while I was a State Trooper. One evening after stopping a violent felon in a stolen car, I was forced to physically restrain him. While struggling with this felon, in the lanes of traffic on I-77, I was relieved to find myself being backed up by two armed truck drivers who had stopped their rigs on the highway in order to prevent traffic from hitting us as we fought. All resistance left the felon when he saw those two armed truckers.
